Feel the true energy of Lithuanian summer! This honey is fragrant, mature, and the eagerly awaited harvest of this year's summer.
The bees collected this honey at the height of summer from surrounding blooming plants - fragrant linden blossoms, clover from green meadows, raspberry bushes, and a multitude of other summer wildflowers.
Honey consistency:
- Liquid – fresh, runny honey (naturally thickens over time).
- Soft/Thick – porridge-like consistency, not runny, not dripping, easily scooped with a spoon, easily spread on bread.
- Crystallized – firm, naturally solidified, hard honey, requires force to scoop with a spoon.
Benefits for the body
Summer honey has accumulated the strongest solar energy and valuable properties of plants:
- Source of energy: It is rich in easily digestible carbohydrates (glucose and fructose), so it quickly restores energy after physical exertion, sports, or intense mental work.
- Resistance and protection: Honey from linden and other summer blossoms has long been valued for its natural anti-inflammatory properties. It is excellent for strengthening the body and for the prevention of upper respiratory tract ailments.
- Nervous system calm: Mid-summer honey has a mild calming effect, helps to relax after a stressful day, and improves sleep quality.
- For skin beauty and digestion: Due to the abundance of natural enzymes, this honey positively affects the digestive tract and helps maintain clear skin.
Usage instructions
This honey is ideal for diversifying the daily diet of the family:
- For teas and drinks: Perfect for sweetening herbal teas, morning water, or refreshing summer cocktails.
- Important: do not add honey to water hotter than 40°C, so as not to destroy the valuable, biologically active substances it contains.
- For breakfast and snacks: Pour over oatmeal, pancakes, cottage cheese, natural yogurt, or simply spread on fresh cheese or toast.
- For culinary experiments: Excellent for salad dressings (for example, mixed with mustard, oil, and lemon juice), marinades, or making light summer desserts.
Allergens and warnings
Allergens: According to EU regulations, pure honey itself is not included in the official list of 14 major allergens. However, it naturally contains bee products and pollen, so people who are allergic to spring blossoms or bee stings should consume honey with caution.
Important warning: Honey should not be given to infants under 1 year of age (due to the risk of infant botulism, as their digestive system is not yet fully developed).
